Writing legal descriptions for various uses to describe a parcel for sale, easements, a swap of land between adjoining owner, etc.  Today it is becoming more commonplace to have an actual survey done to perform the function of a legal description, however there are still instances where a professionally written legal description is used to carry out a transaction of some sort.  The legal description is most often furnished to an attorney who drafts legal documents containing the legal description.
