An Assessor’s Plat is performed on an area of multiple parcels that have unknown boundaries and questionable title to provide boundaries and equitable title to said parcels.  An assessor’s plat cannot create any new parcels, but it used to verify and define very messy land boundary situations.  These require the municipality interaction to accomplish.
