An ALTA/NSPS (American Land Title Association/National Society of Professional Surveyors) Land Title Survey is a survey performed for Commercial property transactions with specific options chosen from set standards created by the above entities to create uniformity in transactions.  These standards were developed so a banker in New York could finance a transaction in Wisconsin and know exactly what they are looking at to assess the risk they are about to enter into, or for a buyer to know exactly what they are purchasing based on familiarity with the process of surveying the property.
